Annual Meeting & Leadership Meeting Social Networking Offers Complete Experience
Published: September 2, 2020
Opening your eyes and your soul with morning workouts and meditation, enjoying rapturous tastings of coffee, chocolate, whiskey, and wine—or competing in sports and matching wits in an escape room.
This year, INTA’s Annual Meeting & Leadership Meeting in November is presenting the perfect start, middle, and end to every day, as attractive social networking events surround substantive days of learning and engaging with colleagues.
In a year when events are virtual due to COVID-19, the myriad social networking opportunities at the 2020 Annual Meeting & Leadership Meeting offer a welcome escape. They mark the virtual equivalent to Networking Excursions—one of INTA’s most successful networking activities.
“Nothing will replace the feeling of a handshake, a hug, or grabbing a drink with a friend after a long day of meetings,” said INTA’s Catherine Shen, part of the team organizing the social networking activities. “But in times where those in-person interactions are not possible, we cannot think of a better way to still connect with colleagues from around the world, than to do so by learning a new skill, working out, or enjoying some music together, all from the comfort of your own home.”
The 31 social networking sessions will be held from November 11-20. This year’s social networking events are grouped into four categories: experiences, tastings, sports, and wellness. Registrants can sign up on a first-come, first-served basis.
See the just-published schedule of events, which caters to global time zones, and more information. A handy infographic is also available.
All of the senses are brought into play through these activities. Here’s a sample day: yoga or champagne and wine tasting (depending on your time of day), a full day of meetings networking events, and expert panels, followed by a course in mixology or phone photography.
The course descriptions are alluring. Taste cheese, beers, sake, tea, or tequila with experts. Sharpen your golf or tennis game, challenge teams of colleagues on FIFA, or give your body and mind over to a range of stretching and stimulating wellness experiences, including 80s cardio or today’s Barre class. And find new skills to round out your talents with sip and sketch, pasta-making, going green at home, or knife skills.
Register now for the 2020 INTA Annual Meeting & Leadership Meeting, taking place November 16–20, 2020.
