While INTA focuses on professionals already engaged in the trademark and IP profession, the INTA Foundation supports initiatives that provide greater access to the IP profession and to IP related educational and professional development opportunities for those that might not otherwise have access.

FAQ
How is the INTA Foundation different from INTA?
Both INTA and the INTA Foundation are non-profit organizations. INTA is a trade association of brand owners and trademark professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and complementary intellectual property (IP). The INTA Foundation is a separate charitable and philanthropic arm of INTA that seeks to expand educational and professional development opportunities in IP for diverse, under-represented populations around the world.
As part of its strategic priority to build a better society through brands, INTA’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts focus on best practices for brands to foster DEI efforts within their organizations. This strategic priority also includes INTA’s own efforts to ensure diverse and inclusive representation at all levels of the Association.
Inspired by this commitment to DEI, the INTA Foundation seeks to support the next generations of trademark and IP professionals by providing grants to organizations across the globe to create research, educational and professional development opportunities for students.
In short, INTA focuses on professionals already engaged in the trademark and IP profession and the INTA Foundation supports initiatives that provide greater access to the IP profession and to IP related educational and professional opportunities for those that might not otherwise have access.
If I already pay dues for INTA membership, why should I donate to the INTA Foundation?
Donations to the INTA Foundation support philanthropic DEI initiatives that are not otherwise funded by INTA. Your donations are a way to give back to the trademark and IP community by supporting research and introducing under-represented students to tools and strategies for pursuing a career in IP.
By providing support and opportunities to these students, your contributions will have a direct impact on ensuring that the IP profession includes diverse perspectives and talents that are crucial for success.
