Published: November 12, 2024

New Orleans, Louisiana—November 12, 2024—The International Trademark Association (INTA) honored Rosa Jiménez, Legal Manager – Intellectual Property at Travel + Leisure Co. in Orlando, Florida, USA, as the recipient of INTA’s 2024 Trademark Administrator (TMA) of the Year Award.

The TMA of the Year Award recognizes one exceptional INTA member who is a non-attorney practitioner for their professional achievements and leadership in the trademark industry. This annual award spotlights the outstanding professionalism, dedication, and partnership that non-attorney practitioners provide to the industry.

Starting out her career at a law firm in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ms. Jiménez has been a passionate trademark practitioner for more than 25 years. Most recently, she played a key role in developing the Association’s Trademark Administrators Certificate Program, which arms TMAs with the professional tools and skills to succeed in their roles. Ms. Jiménez’s contributions go beyond the IP community, she has also devoted a considerable amount of time to meaningful volunteer work, such as using her skills as a communicator to interpret and translate for refugees who escaped to Orlando following Hurricane Maria in 2017. She actively fosters a more diverse and inclusive workforce for all, serving as a board member on her organization’s diversity resource group, FUERTE, leading educational sessions on bridging cultures, and participating in community initiatives that help Hispanic students obtain scholarships. She is also an ambassador of the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando and an officer of her organization’s Toastmasters Club.

“I am honored to receive the 2024 TMA of the Year Award. This comes with great responsibility and inspires me to continue striving for excellence, while supporting others with a passion for trademarks in their professional journeys,” said Ms. Jiménez. “I feel incredibly fortunate that my career in trademarks has paralleled my membership and participation in INTA, beginning with my first Annual Meeting in 1997. INTA’s support, as well as the leadership and learning opportunities it has provided, have been a cornerstone of my professional growth and development.”

“Ms. Jiménez displays a true passion for intellectual property law,” remarked INTA President Dana Northcott. “She has proven herself to be a thoughtful, dedicated, and highly collaborative member of the INTA community and an asset to our Association.”

This year’s INTA awards were presented today during an awards ceremony at the Association’s 2024 Leadership Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
