INTA is drafting reports covering select elections during this election cycle. The India Election Report 2024 examines India’s political landscape, economic growth, and IP policies under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Since 2014, India has experienced a period of political stability under the leadership of the BJP, which helped drive major reforms, digitization, and economic growth initiatives. But the 2024 general elections marked a pivotal shift, with the BJP falling short of a majority despite securing an unprecedented third consecutive term—signaling a more complex political environment.
Key election issues, including economic inequality and unemployment, will likely shape the government’s policy moving forward.
The Report also highlights INTA’s role in advocating for stronger IP laws and enforcement in India.
