Latin American Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition
INTA, the Court of Justice of the Andean Community (TJCA), and the Interamerican Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI) organized the fourth version of the “Latin American Intellectual Property Moot Court,” whose final phase took place on October 30–31, 2024.
Conducted in Spanish, the Competition is open to undergraduate students or recent graduates of law programs at universities across Latin America and other countries.
This year’s competition reached record participation with 325 students and recent graduates forming 62 teams from 50 universities in 14 Latin American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Venezuela.
The initiative seeks to promote the study and specialized research in intellectual property law among students and recent graduates of law jurisprudence from public or private universities in Latin America, in order to promote the development of their knowledge, professional skills and practical skills essential for the solution of legal problems in the field.

Who can enter the competition?
The competition is open to teams of two to four individuals from universities in Latin America and North America.
What activities are involved in the competition?
Teams will first submit written briefs. A jury will review and advance selected teams to rounds of virtual oral arguments. Both the written and oral phases of the competition will be conducted in Spanish.
What are the benefits of entering the competition?
