Creating Psychological Safety in Today’s World
Life in law can be thrilling and, at times, overwhelming. Unconscious bias, deadlines, work-family conflict, workplace bullying, war, natural disasters, heightened political climates, that visiting in-law, adopting, or having a child, the holidays—how do you balance the dichotomy of stressors with having a successful career? That you or someone on your team needs help, or even just a break?
This session aims to demystify “mental health” and to illuminate the path to psychological safety. Committee Meetings
Celebrate the incredible strides that 37 committees from the Advocacy, Communications, and Resources Groups and various Think Tanks, Task Force, and Project Teams have achieved—through only the first half of this committee term.
All committee meetings will be conducted in person at the 2022 Leadership Meeting. You must be registered for the Meeting to attend your committee meeting.
Plan Your Own Event
Exclusive to INTA members eligible to register for the 2022 Leadership Meeting. Please note all events must be reported in advance.
The Leadership Meeting presents the perfect opportunity to conduct business and interact with INTA’s most engaged member volunteers.
There are several ways to conduct business, including hosting your own events—meetings, receptions, hosted client breakfasts, lunches, dinners, hosted client social excursions, and more—using space in INTA’s hotel block or in various offsite event venues around Miami, from law firm offices and business centers to museums, restaurants, parks, or social clubs.
Plan Your Own Event (PYOE) Requirements
Because we want to facilitate the best Leadership Meeting experience for our registrants, any non-INTA-hosted event held in conjunction with the Leadership Meeting should be reported to INTA before you contract with your venue so that we can confirm that it does not conflict with an INTA event. In addition, we ask that you carefully review and adhere to our event requirements listed below.
Reporting your event also helps us measure our Meeting’s total economic impact on our host city, increasing our negotiating power in future destinations and allowing us to pass savings down to our members whenever possible.
Before contracting with your venue:
- Complete INTA’s Plan Your Own Event (PYOE) request form.
- Make sure to complete a separate form for each event you are planning.
- Ensure that INTA confirms your event and that it does not conflict with an INTA event before you contract with your venue. INTA will review your submission within five business days of receipt.
Once you secure your venue:
- Ensure that your guests are registered for the Leadership Meeting.
- Ensure that your guests are aware of and will comply with the health and safety measures of INTA and your venue.
- When promoting your event, you should not suggest that INTA is an official sponsor of your event. For example:
- Do not use “INTA” or “International Trademark Association” in an email subject line unless the subject line also makes clear the name of the organization sponsoring the event.
- Do not use “INTA” as part of an RSVP or other email address.
- Do not use “INTA” in the name of a party or event (for example, please do not call your event “INTA Reception”).
During your event:
- All attendees from your organization should wear their Leadership Meeting badges during your event.
- All guests of your event should wear their Leadership Meeting badges during your event.
- You should adhere to the venue’s capacity limits and ensure the personal safety of your guests.
- You and your attendees should comply with your venue and INTA’s health and safety measures.
Our commitment to you:
- We’ll contact you within five business days of receiving your completed PYOE request form.
- Once we confirm your event does not conflict with an INTA event, you may begin working directly with your preferred venue. However, please note that the confirmation of a request does not guarantee that you will secure your first-choice venue.

Hurricane Ian Relief Fund
As our excitement for the 2022 Leadership Meeting grows, INTA is also mindful of the devastating effects left by Hurricane Ian on the Floridian community. To best aid in the support and recovery of those affected, the Association is shining a spotlight on two organizations whose commitment and dedication towards relief efforts have successfully implemented meaningful change: The Harry Chapin Food Bank (HCFB) and The Englewood Chamber of Commerce (ECC).
Learn More
The HCFB is the largest hunger-relief nonprofit and the only Feeding America member in Southwest Florida, serving Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee counties. Since Hurricane Ian, the HCFB has distributed nearly 3.5 million pounds of food to those in need through the rescue and distribution of donated food and other emergency products.
The ECC has been working tirelessly to aid the community of Englewood. The town is unincorporated and has no city government. Additionally, Englewood is split between two counties, leaving its residents at risk of relief scarcity. The ECC has intervened to provide vital emergency information and resources, including food, water, gas, propane, and other essential items to supply those in need. The Chamber also provides gift cards to out-of-work employees and will provide grants to businesses to get them back up and running.
The support of the INTA community will truly make an impact on the lives of those who need it most. Many suffered tragic losses in the wake of Hurricane Ian, and the need for resources that organizations like the HCFB and the ECC provide has been immense.
We thank you for your consideration to join this donation drive to assist both the Harry Chapin Food Bank and the Englewood Chamber of Commerce with their recovery efforts after Hurricane Ian.

Registrants who do not comply with our COVID-19 health and safety precautions will not be permitted to enter or remain on the premises. Under these circumstances, registrants will not be provided with a refund.
Registrant Duty to Self-Monitor
Registrants agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath).

However, despite our good faith efforts to establish and implement health and safety guidelines to minimize exposure to COVID-19, we cannot guarantee against potential exposure to and spread of COVID-19 at the Leadership Meeting. By voluntarily registering and participating, Leadership Meeting registrants understand, acknowledge, and assume the risk of potential exposure to COVID-19 (including its variants) at the Leadership Meeting.
