Small Group Conversations, New Connections

Designed to encourage conversation and connection, Table Topics give registrants the chance to engage in small-group discussions around timely topics and shared interests. For 2027 in San Diego, the program will feature 90-minute Lunch sessions designed to fit naturally into the Annual Meeting schedule. Each table is limited to 8 participants, including the moderator, creating a comfortable setting for deeper conversation, shared insights, and meaningful professional connections.

We are seeking proposals for Table Topics at INTA’s 2027 Annual Meeting in San Diego.

Table Topics are interactive, 90-minute lunch discussions designed to encourage peer exchange and practical learning. Rather than delivering a presentation, moderators facilitate conversation, creating an opportunity for participants to share experiences, compare approaches, and discuss challenges facing the global IP community.

We are looking for discussion topics that are:

  • Timely and relevant to the global IP community
  • Focused on a specific issue, challenge, or emerging trend
  • Built around a clear discussion question
  • Designed to encourage participation and the exchange of practical insights

Session Format

  • 90-minute discussion during lunch
  • May 8-12, 2027
  • Maximum of eight participants per table
  • Moderator-led, discussion-based format
  • Focus on peer learning rather than presentations

A limited number of Table Topics will be selected.

Proposals must be submitted in full and include:

  • Discussion question
  • Participant learning objectives or takeaways
  • Moderator experience and qualifications
  • Backup moderator information
