Published: November 27, 2018
New York, New York—November 27, 2018—The International Trademark Association (INTA) is pleased to announce that Kevin Hartley, a trademark attorney and co-founder of Trust Tree Legal, P.C., Nashville, TN, is a recipient of the Association’s 2018 Volunteer Service Award for the Advancement of Committee or Subcommittee Objectives.
INTA presents the award annually to one or more members whose display of initiative and demonstration of creative thinking during the year helped to significantly advance a committee or subcommittee’s objectives.
The Association cited Mr. Hartley for his work on its Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. As a member of that committee, he helped to develop and promote various mediation education programs worldwide.
“Mr. Hartley has provided invaluable guidance to INTA as a committed and passionate volunteer. He has approached mediation education with a fresh and innovative perspective, which contributes to the advancement of the field,” said INTA President Tish Berard.
In accepting the award, Mr. Hartley said, “I’m proud to win this award on behalf of my committee, which is composed of practitioners from around the world who are committed to improving trademark practice through alternative dispute resolution. We all appreciate INTA’s willingness to support that endeavor and are grateful for everything the Association does.”
Mr. Hartley co-founded Trust Tree in 2015. He holds a J.D. from the University of Tennessee.
INTA recognized Mr. Hartley with the 2018 Volunteer Service Award for the Advancement of Committee or Subcommittee Objectives during the Association’s 2018 Leadership Meeting in New Orleans, LA in November. The Association also presented the award to Felicia Boyd, a partner at Barnes & Thornburg, LLP, Minneapolis, MN, for her contributions to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.
