Published: November 12, 2024

New Orleans, Louisiana—November 12, 2024—The International Trademark Association (INTA) has honored Jonathan Clegg, Partner and Trademark Attorney at Cleveland Scott York in London, United Kingdom, as a recipient of INTA’s 2024 Membership Champion Award.

The INTA Member Champion Award is presented to one or more individuals who, during the year, help grow Association membership, increase Association awareness, and promote member benefits, demonstrating their combined passion for trademark and related intellectual property law and their commitment to INTA through exceptional efforts with such things as introductions to potential members, hosting recruitment events and roundtables, participating in delegations, and sharing their own INTA experience to facilitate knowledge and understanding of the Association.

Mr. Clegg has been an active member and volunteer of the Association for 25 years. Gravitating toward opportunities where he can give back to the membership-at-large, Mr. Clegg has served on the Leadership Development Committee, Professional Development Committee, Annual Meeting Project Team, and INTA Bulletins Committee, among many others, and often in leadership roles. Over the years and throughout these various roles, he has been the embodiment of professionalism, commitment, and ingenuity. Moreover, he has developed a deep insight into the evolving needs of INTA members and his participation in the Association has been to the benefit of its members around the world.

“INTA has been hugely significant for me over the last 3 decades. I’ve been able to develop countless lasting business relationships with people from all over the world and have made many friends as well,” noted Mr. Clegg. “Chairing the Leadership Development Committee, and more recently being involved in the INTA Certificate Program and the Professional Development Committee, have been highlights for me on this journey. It goes without saying that it’s a great honor and privilege to receive this award.”

“Members like Mr. Clegg are at the heart of why this Association is able to accomplish so much in the intellectual property field and why we see ourselves as a community,” said INTA President Dana Northcott. “We thank Mr. Clegg for his continued support and dedication.”

This year’s INTA awards were presented today during an awards ceremony at the Association’s 2024 Leadership Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. INTA also recognized Koji Saito (Shobayashi International Patent and Trademark Office, Japan) and Marc Trachtenberg (Greenberg Traurig, LLP, USA) as Membership Champion Award winners.
